Founder Of Skincare Brand Deciem Announces He’s Closing Down The Company Until Further Notice

Brandon Truaxe took to Instagram to accuse his own company of "major criminal activity".

Brandon Truaxe, the founder of skincare company Deciem and popular affordable range The Ordinary, is known using his company’s Instagram to voice his controversial opinions.

This time, Brandon has taken to Instagram to claim that he is closing down his company until further notice, due to alleged “major criminal activity”.

“This is the final post of Deciem. We will shut down all operation until further notice, which is about two months,” Brandon says in the video, before asking viewers to take him seriously. He also goes on to allege that “almost everyone at Deciem has been involved in major criminal activity.”

“Almost everyone at Deciem has been involved in a major criminal activity which includes financial crimes and much other. You have no idea what a solider I’ve been for more than thirteen years.

“I’ve been made fun of, as a porn actor, and as a f**king drug dealer and everything, for thirteen years and it’s all ending now.”

The video was posted to the brand’s main Instagram account alongside a lengthly caption that made no sense whatsoever.

“Every one of you who has been laughing at me will with certainty face criminal prosecution,” it reads. The statement is followed by a long list of high-profile names — both people and companies, including Brad Pitt and Stephen Spielberg.

This isn’t the first time Brandon has been involved in drama. In April, he fired Deciem’s entire United States team, and in June, it was announced that Deciem was leaving Sephora for a rumored move to Ulta. Deciem is no longer sold at Sephora, but the Ulta partnership seems to have never materialised.

Despite this, the company has been wildly successful since its launch, and received an investment from Estée Lauder in 2017.
