When she’s not working in front of the camera, you’ll rarely catch Roz Purcell with her hair down. The model works out “every day, at least once” and so is at her most comfortable with her locks tied back in a sleek gym-friendly pony.

But for her recent cover shoot with STELLAR, long, wavy tresses were the order of the day. So how did hair stylist Joanne Kelly ensure Roz’s hair looked healthy, sleek and shiny? Well, it turns out it wasn’t much of a challenge.

“Roz has so much gorgeous, thick, hair, there was no shortage of volume to work with,” Joanne explains.

Before styling, Joanne prepped the ends of Roz’s hair with a small amount of Bumble and Bumble Repair Blow Dry (€29) – a lifesaver for anyone whose hair “is constantly being styled and restyled.”

Her hair was then blow-dried straight, to ensure it still had an “element of sleekness” no matter how much volume was added.

Then… the fun began!

“With a lovely natural wave to it, Roz’s hair is seriously simple to curl, but it’s no quick feat,” says Joanne, who used a curling wand to style the locks section by section. For some extra body, Joanne teased every second section as she went.

Finally Joanne brushed the hair out ever so slightly, before spraying it generously with Bumble and Bumble City Swept Finish hair spray (€26).
