Suzanne Jackson’s beauty empire SOSU By SJ continues to go from strength to strength and according to reports her cosmetics business has netted her some serious spends.

Evoke.ie reports that in its first year, the brand has posted earnings of €250,000.

Not too shabby, huh?

Those earnings are in addition to profits she nets from her SoSueMe blog, with Evoke reporting that she netted profits of €311, 553 from that outlet last year.

Last week, the blogger revealed she’d be discontinuing her fashion line which she launched in December last year.

Suzanne took to Snapchat to explain why she wouldn’t be restocking.

“I started the fashion line a long time before it went live at Christmas and I worked tirelessly on the project. It was really exciting and I really enjoyed doing it, but I’m only one person, and I can’t possibly do fashion AND beauty,” she explained.

“So I was coming up against a brick wall. I was trying to focus my energy on fashion, and trying to focus my energy on beauty, and I just couldn’t focus on one thing 200%. As you guys know, I put 500% into absolutely everything I do.

“Everything I bring to market I can put my hand on my heart and say it’s amazing. But when your focus is divided – I just didn’t want to let the ball drop with either fashion or beauty, so I had to choose.

“It sounds so dramatic, but that’s the way it is in business and I’m always as honest and open with you guys as I possibly can be, and right now I’ve chosen beauty.

“So the fashion is going to sell out, we’re going to get rid of what we have left – which isn’t a lot. And I won’t be restocking. I’m not going to go there again for a couple of years.

“I’m drawing the line, and will focus on beauty. I’m working on about 12 products at the moment. I’m wrecked tired because there’s just one hiccup after another, but that’s production and that’s what you do when you create your product from absolute scratch. I don’t private label, I create myself, and I’m very proud of that.”
