Nicki Minaj Had A Very Creative Solution To Help Her Walk In Her Super-Tight VMAs Dress

Nicki Minaj never lets us down when it comes to award-show outfits, and last night was no different.

The singer S-L-A-Y-E-D in a midnight blue bodycon dress with mesh panels down each leg and cut-outs on the top and sides. Safe to say she looked downright incredible, but there was one small problem: Nicki clearly couldn’t walk in the dress unaided.

If she moved too much one way, she risked popping out, and because the dress’s bottom half was so tight, it was clear she found it hard to move her legs. An inability to move wasn’t going to stop Nicki though, and the rapper relied on a range of things to help her move from her car to the red carpet.

Of course, it’s no surprise Nicki was so cautious last night, given her history of wardrobe malfunctions. Back in 2014, the Anaconda singer famously had to hold her dress closed on stage, after a zip broke during a 45-second costume change.

“Right before it was time for me to walk out, they went to zip it up and nothing. And right there I thought I died,” she singer told Ellen DeGeneres a few months later.

Luckily for Nicki, last night’s outfit went down without a hitch.
