If you’ve been following the #repealthe8th campaign on social media of late, you’ve no doubt happened upon the REPEAL Project.

The brains behind the project, Anna Cosgrave, is hoping to start those tough conversations and incite change by plastering the word REPEAL exactly where it’ll be seen – emblazoned across the wearer’s chest, in block white lettering on a black sweater.

“Repeal Project seeks to vindicate the rights of Irish women by reflecting , respecting and representing the need and want for free safe and legal access to abortion in Ireland,” Anna explains. The project has been gaining traction over the last month, with influencers, campaigners and journalists alike all donning black sweaters and explaining why they’re on board.

If you’re keen to get your hands on one of the sweaters, you’ll need to hightail it down to Indigo & Cloth on 9 Essex St this Friday July 1st, where they’ll be on sale as part of a three-day pop-up in store.

A limited number of sweaters will also be available to purchase from repeal.ie from this Thursday, June 30th.

Retailing at €25, and with proceeds from every sale going towards the Abortion Rights Campaign, this is one post-payday purchase you can definitely justify.
