Kim K’s Sex Tape Has Just Had A Surge In Sales For A Very Unexpected Reason

For many, Kim K’s infamous leaked sex tape (which she filmed back in 2006 with her then rapper boyfriend Ray J) is the very reason she’s as famous as she is today, bolstering her from little known LA socialite to international celebrity and launching the family’s KUWTK reality show on E!

Now the video, (which is known as Kim K Superstar, FYI) has had an unexpected spike in sales this week, despite being leaked a whole decade ago.

The reason for this sudden surge in sales? It’s all down to Kanye’s controversial new video Famous, which features several celebrity lookalikes, including Taylor Swift, Ray J and Kim herself, lying naked in bed with Kanye.

Speaking to Fishwrapper, Vivid Entertainment’s CEO Steve Hirsch explained that “Despite all of the controversy surrounding Kanye West’s ‘Famous’ video it may be the new favourite for Vivid Entertainment.”

He adds: “The reason is [that] with all of the publicity that the ‘Kim K Superstar’ sex tape is getting in the coverage of ‘Famous,’ Vivid is seeing a spike in sales for the movie.

“We should hire Kanye as our Head of Marketing. He single handedly increased our sales by over 50%.”

That’s great for Vidid but we have one question: People know they could probably watch the video somewhere on the internet for free, right?
