What does your schedule look like for LFW?

It’s hectic. I’ll be running from show to show, updating social media accounts, getting my outfit of the day shots and soaking up the amazing street style. This season I’m doing a social media takeover which requires a lot of dedication but there’s nothing I love more than a Snapchat session backstage.

Do you have unlimited access?

I have access to the designer showrooms where you can walk around and look at the amazing designs. For shows, you have to request tickets from the PRs, this means about 90 emails in the run up to the week.

What have been some of your past highlights of the week?

Last season I was interviewed by E! News. I was stopped on the street and asked some questions and asked to do my best catwalk in front of about 200 people. At the AW15 shows I was interviewed for Glamour Magazine and Cosmopolitan and I was featured online in their street style section. One moment I’ll never forget it seeing Naomi Campbell for the first time, the situation was so blasé, she was just casually walking around Somerset House the night before the shows started. Starstruck!

What’s the atmosphere like?

There’s nothing like it. The buzz is unlike anything I’ve experienced. Outside the main venue is where people get papped, this is where you see the best street style. The atmosphere backstage is amazing too.

Will it be all business or will you be enjoying yourself too?

You can’t go to fashion week and not have fun. I’m lucky enough to go with my partner in crime, photographer Aaron Hurley who also happens to be one of my best friends so it’s hard not to have fun.  Plus, I have a personal photographer 24/7, how could you not enjoy that?

What will you be wearing?

Choosing your outfits is hard for fashion week, every time I think I have my outfits sorted I see something that inspires me. I’ll be wearing flat shoes four out of five days. You need to be comfortable because there’s a lot of running around London. I got the new Adidas Stan Smith Bolds for Valentine’s day so I’m excited to style them.

How important are your outfits?

It’s pretty important in terms of getting noticed for publications, but people take it to the next level, I’ve seen the craziest outfits. Once I saw a guy dressed in an astronaut suit! People will do anything to get featured in magazines but I think it’s important to be yourself. I’m wearing a mixture of new pieces and things I already own. Buying new accessories is a great way to modernise outfits you already have in your wardrobe.

Can anyone go to LFW or how does it work?

Anyone can go yes, I think if you are involved in the fashion industry at all it’s a really fun place to go and experience the craziness. I registered as a blogger with the British Fashion Council for this trip so I have loads of exciting plans. On the LFW website there’s a schedule and a contact list for each of the designers showcasing throughout the weekend. It’s up to you to email them and get the invites to their shows/ presentations. It can be a very tedious process but it’s worth it.

Is your trip business or pleasure or both?

It’s definitely both and it’s important to remember that. It’s a great opportunity to meet some really successful and inspiring people and also to get your name out there, but it’s also supposed to be fun – it’s fashion, it’s what us girls love.

What’s on your agenda?

A lot of the big shows come back with invites very last minute so it’s been tricky to make a definite schedule. At the moment I have plans to attend the Julien MacDonald Show, Palmer/Harding, le Kilt, Danielle Romeril and Aspiral of London Presentations, as well as a film screening held by River Island to celebrate their collaboration with Sibling. Besides the fashion I hope to enjoy a nice brunch with my friends and hopefully to visit Notting Hill for the first time.

What are you most looking forward to?

I’m really looking forward to the Julien MacDonald show. He creates such dramatic, elegant pieces and the shows are always stunning – I’m excited to be there in person this season.

What are you wearing? Do you have a favourite outfit lined up?

I was in New York the week before last so my planning for LFW has all been very last minute – I’m still outfit planning at the moment. I’ll be wearing high street and online retailers mainly. Karen Millen, Oasis, Boohoo, River Island & Pretty Little Thing. My favourite outfit is unsurprisingly an all-black co-ord set that I ordered from Boohoo. The pants are culottes which I am loving at the moment.

Do you go every year?

My mum designed the fashion stamps for An Post a few years ago so we get sent some tickets. I’m usually working but this year I’m making room for the shows.

What have some of your past highlights been?

Seeing people like Kate moss, Suzy Menkes, Susie Bubble and Sarah Harris outside the shows is sort of my highlight. I remember when I first moved to London five years ago I was interning at Fashion Week and I got in to Charlie Le Mindu and he had just started to work with Lady Gaga. There was such a buzz around the show and his pieces were nuts.

What shows will you be attending this year?

Felder and Felder, David Koma, Sophia Webster, Sibling, Vivienne Westwood and Tata Naka.

What are you most looking forward to?

Really looking forward to seeing Burberry, Roksanda, Charlotte Olympia, David Koma, and Simone Rocha.

What will you be wearing?

I’m wearing high waisted jeans, flared jeans, silk pieces from Dries van Noten, structured skirts, and flats. I can’t wait to pair this new Dries Van Noten jacket with Topshop jeans and my no.21 red silk shoes. I have been sent some really lovely pieces of jewellery from Tadam and Parts of Four that I’ll also be wearing.

Will you be blogging throughout the whole week?

I really like looking at the street style during fashion week so I’ll be bringing my camera to capture some looks. I’ll also be blogging about my outfits and the shows.

Tell us about your trip to LFW, is it business, pleasure or both?

It’s purely business for me. Fashion weeks are always hectic so there’s very little down time or time to relax.

How long are you going for?

I’ll only be there for 36 hours! I was just modelling over at Milan Fashion week so I’m only home.  I’ve also got a jam packed February so I’m on a really tight schedule for everything at the moment.

What are you wearing?

I have a few outfits in mind but it really all depends on the weather that morning so you’ll have to wait and see!

Will you be blogging the whole time that you’re there?

I’ll be live blogging on all my social media channels and my blog over the weekend.

What’s in your blogging suitcase?

For a February fashion week I bring various layered pieces, tights from nude to opaque, chic flat shoes, various high heels (different heights), blister plasters are a total essential, gel insoles, iphone recharger (X2), sunglasses, Canon Powershot GX3 , laptop, carmex lip balm, rose water for my skin and MAC studio fix foundation.
