Fans reckon her Insta post is a thinly veiled at the entertainment conglomerate.
In case you missed it, Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall was hotly tipped to play the role of Jasmine in the live action remake of Aladdin.
In fact, the opportunity was said to be the singer’s “dream role” and in May a source claimed that the rest of the girls in the band had already offered Jade their support in taking it on.
“Obviously they want Jade to live out her dreams, but they don’t want the band to be over,” an insider told Heat Magazine.
Now though, it looks like Jade has been snubbed by Disney, with actress Naomi Scott cinching the role instead.
As the news broke, Jade took to her Instagram account to post a pic that fans are suggesting is a thinly veiled insult at the people behind the casting decision.
Posing in a silk blouse, the Little Mixer is seen holding a pistol with the words “Over it” and fans have already taken to the comment section to say Jade would have been the perfect fit for the role.
It’s a crappy turn of events for Jade, but at least, with the singer able to fully focus on her part in the band, it means the future of Little Mix isn’t under threat.
