Our Emerald Isle is a pretty spectacular place, especially during the summer months. So, if you’re running a little low on funds (and, er, let’s face it who isn’t?!) why not make it your mission to embrace all this beautiful country has to offer this summer and complete our Irish bucket list? We promise that trip your bestie took to Bali will seem like a trip down to your gran’s house in comparison.

The Giant’s Causeway

This is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Northern and Ireland and we can certainly see why! The Giant’s Causeway is a coastal area of about 40,000 basalt columns near the town of Bushmills and  is the result of a volcanic eruption. In a poll conducted by the Radio Times in 2005, The Giant’s Causeway was named the fourth wonder of the world. So, yeah, you need to head up there, STAT.

The Cliffs of Moher

These cliffs are Ireland’s most visited natural attraction. Located in Co.Clare, The Cliffs of Moher are  a whopping five miles long and 200 metres high. They have some of the most breathtaking scenery Ireland has to offer, plus a selfie against this backdrop makes for the perfect Insta!

The Blarney Stone

The Blarney Stone is located just 8km outside Cork City Centre. We all know The Blarney Stone is famous for giving you the gift of the gab (not that we need anymore help in that department…) but  rather than heading there to just have a smooch with a rock, why not spend a weekend down in beautiful Cork? You can embrace all the historic landmarks you want and have a night out in the buzzing city centre.

Chester Beatty Library

This is the perfect spot for all of you literary and art lovers. Located in Dublin’s city centre, the historic library is packed full of paintings, rare books and manuscripts. Maybe tick this one off your bucket list on a rainy day and finish off your visit with some delish lunch in The Silk Road Cafe.

Tayto Park

There really is slim pickings in Ireland when it comes to rollercoasters, so since Tatyo Park introduced a whopper rollercoaster into our lives it’s our patriotic duty to utilise it to the max! It’s located just 30 minutes from Dublin city centre and on a sunny day it’s absolutely fab!

Salthill

Why not go wild and jump of the pier into the water at Salthill? On a warm sunny day you’ll find the pier littered with people wanting to let out their  adventurous side too, so make sure to get there early and obvs only go if it’s a scorcher!

Powerscourt Garden Centre

This has to be one of the most beautiful places on the planet. We are in love with all Powerscourt has to offer; from its breathtaking gardens to amazing waterfalls we could spend days upon days in this place. Best of all it has an Avoca on the grounds, so that’s breakfast, lunch and dinner sorted! Oh and if you’re feeling extra flush why not treat yourself to a lovely spa day in their hotel? You deserve it, ladypal.
