Alexandra’s Mam Proved She’s Just As Sassy As Her Daughter On Last Night’s Love Island

 

After her daughter delivered the most epic break-up speech ever, Alexandra’s mam came into the villa last night to prove she didn’t lick it off a stone.

In the eagerly awaited ‘meet the parents’ episode, Mammy Cane let her thoughts be known on Dr Alex’s decision to call things off with Alexandra only a few days before the final. Speaking to her daughter, Janice let her know exactly how she felt, saying:

I’ve been trying to pull myself back from constantly feeling “I could kill him!” ‘He thought he could just drop you and pick you up at whim, and that’s not how life works. But keep it in perspective, at the end of it all I just put my trust in you, and I tell you what that’s where you’ve surprised me. I’m so proud of you.

However, Dr Alex ‘s mam supported her son’s decision telling him:

I really like Alexandra. She seems such a lovely girl. It was hard to watch that conversation but if you’re not feeling it you’re just being honest. The easiest thing to do would have been just to let it run.

And then came that awkward moment when the two families came together. Alexandra’s mam revealed she was less than impressed with Alex by letting it rip:

Oh Alex, I don’t know what show you thought you were coming on. One thing that I didn’t grasp, when you recoupled and you seemed to expect her to be grateful, and you, I think, made some comment, ‘What’s the matter with her, why she’s so grumpy?’ What did you expect a girl to feel like after she’d been rejected and then you deigned to bring her back to your side? I thought ‘Hey young man, I’ll have words with you!’

To top it all off, she commented on his infamous sunburn: “You’re not nearly as red in the flesh as you sometimes look on the telly.”

The finale airs tonight on 3e and we don’t know whether we’re emotionally ready for our summer TV to be over, TBH.
