*Aww..* Idris Elba Has Popped The Question To Girlfriend Sabrina Dhowre!

Actor Idris Elba is engaged after making a very public proposal to his girlfriend, Sabrina Dhowre, last Saturday.

Idris popped the question at a movie theatre in London before a preview of his latest film Yardie, the first film the actor-turned-director has directed.

The theatre made the announcement via their Twitter account on Saturday.

The venue added, “She said yes and there was much clapping and cheering.”

Idris and the former Miss Vancouver made their red carpet debut at the Toronto International Film Festival last September and have been pretty private ever since, so his public proposal may be a bit of a shock to some!

In an article by Essence magazine published back in July, Idris claimed that he wouldn’t ever remarry, saying “Yeah, I don’t think so. Marriage is an institution of sorts. And I’ve done it. It’s not for everybody. It’s not my life’s calling.”

Looks like somebody changed their mind!
