Emily Ratajkowski’s Latest Instagram Post Has Made Some People VERY Angry

"This woman has not a brain in her head...”

Emily Ratajkowski has been announced as the new brand ambassador for luxury hair care brand, Kérastese, but just days into the job, she’s already pissed a lot of people off.

The London-native was announcing her partnership with the brand on Instagram when she said, “Hair is a fundamental part of beauty, femininity and identity. So excited to announce that I am the new face of @kerastase_official!”

Many people have been angered by her choice of words, pointing out how it’s offensive to women who’ve lost their hair through illness. “Fundamental was truly not the right word, and to those of you who have lost your hair due to cancer and other causes just know this post is wrong and you are beautiful without it. It doesn’t determine your identity or your femininity,” one follower replied.

Another said, “It’s her PUBLIC PLATFORM that she uses to get where she is today, so she should carefully word what she’s posting so the little girl sitting in hospital losing her hair won’t be in floods of tears! If your gonna entertain this lifestyle, be compassionate… words can affect people! This woman has not a brain in her head.”

Although she has not (yet) issued an apology, the 26-year-old edited the Instagram caption within a matter of hours to read, “So excited to announce that I am the new face of @kerastase_official ! Welcome good hair days!”

Meanwhile, Kérastase issued an apology saying, “We are deeply sorry about that, we didn’t want to cause any harm to anyone with the caption. Of course beauty is not defined by your hair, beauty is something more spiritual, beauty is an attitude coming from inside each of us. Our new muse, Emily, thinks that her hair is a way to express herself. As she said, ‘Everyone is uniquely beautiful in their own way; and we agree… We honestly tell you we’re very sorry and thanks for your testimony because through it we are learning everyday.”
