Fans Lash Out At Lindsay Lohan For Her ‘Shameful’ Comments About Harvey Weinstein

The film producer has been accused of sexual harassment.

Hollywood film producer, Harvey Weinstein, has landed himself in the middle of a sexual harassment case, and while most people are slamming his behaviour, he seems to have found at least one supporter. Lindsay Lohan took to Instagram last night to defend him, saying that she thinks his wife should stand by him throughout the controversy.

Speaking to her six million followers, she said, ”Hi, this is Lindsay Lohan, I’m in Dubai. I’m home. I feel very bad for Harvey Weinstein right now. I don’t think it’s right what’s going on.

“I think Georgina needs to take a stand and be there for her husband. He’s never harmed me or did anything to me. We’ve done several movies together. I think everyone needs to stop. I think it’s wrong. So, stand up.”

But she’s one of the very few people who feel that way. Actresses Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie have stood up and spoken out against the Pulp Fiction producer, saying he made inappropriate advances on them over the years.

As such, people are slamming Lindsay’s comments, saying, “No.. sexual abuse is wrong. Just because you weren’t targeted doesn’t give you the right to dismiss those who were. Shameful.”

Another person wrote, “Lindsay, you are part of the problem why INNOCENT women don’t speak up! You should be ashamed of yourself!” While a third person tweeted, “Stand up? You need to sit the f*ck down until you know what you’re talking about.”

While Harvey has not admitted to any of the accusations, it’s believed he’s flown to Europe to attend rehab for sex addiction and other behavioural issues.
