From Harry’s Reaction, To Celeb Pals Well-Wishes And When We’ll Meet Him, It’s Your Royal Baby Roundup!

After months of speculation and let’s face it, obsession, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed their first child, a baby boy.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex ditched the traditional act of getting the new mum to stand outside the hospital looking all pretty minutes after popping a sprog and instead announced the arrival via their social media channels, how modern!

Instead, Harry went out on his own to gush about his little baby to the press. And it was bloody cute. The new dad was positively bouncing around while he spoke about his son.

“It’s been the most amazing experience I could ever possibly imagine,” Harry said.

“How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension. But we’re both absolutely thrilled and so grateful to all the love and support from everybody out there. It’s been amazing, so we just wanted to share this with everybody.”

So with that, here’s everything else you need want to know about baby Sussex.

What’s his name?

Update: Baby Sussex Has A Name! Meghan And Harry Have Named Their First Son Archie

Earlier: Harry also revealed in his chat to the press that they are still thinking about names. “The baby’s a little bit overdue, so we’ve had a little time to think about it. That’s the next bit,” he said.

Of course, there are plenty of predictions out there that the couple will go for something traditional. Theories include James, Edward, Alexander or Arthur. But from what we’ve seen so far for these two, they love to mix it up a bit, so they might go for something a little different.

The most common names in Canada right now are Liam, Noah and William, so maybe Canadian-born Meghan will take some inspo from that.

Any word from the other royals on his arrival?

Will and Kate were yet to meet their nephew when they release a statement on the birth yesterday over on their official Instagram.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted with the news of the birth of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son today, and look forward to meeting the latest addition to the family,” they said.

There was a joint statement released on behalf of the Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, and more which said they were all ‘delighted by the news’. It also revealed that Meghan’s mum Doria Ragland is ‘overjoyed’ to have welcomed her first grandchild and that she was with the happy couple at Frogmore Cottage.

What about their celeb pals?

The couple have a long list of cool celeb pals so naturally we were nosy-ing on their social media pages to see what they had to say.

Meghan’s Suits costar and onscreen boyfriend Patrick J Adams wished the couple well, drawing on his own experiences as a dad.

Sarah Rafferty, who played Donna on the show, said: “Hearts are leaping for a beautiful, wondrous and healthy baby boy! Sending much love and wishes for every blessing across the pond today and everyday!”

Busy getting ready for the Met Gala (probably) Priyanka Chopra took to Instagram stories to share the love.

The Obama’s said they can’t wait to meet him…

When will we get a peek at baby Sussex?

Update: The First Pictures Of The Royal Baby Are Here And Yep, He’s Adorable

Earlier: While Meghan managed to skip the official hospital step introduction, it won’t be long before she makes an official outing, or poses for official pics with the baba.

“For us, I think we’ll be seeing you in probably two days time — as planned — as a family to be able to share it with you guys, so everyone can see the baby,” Harry revealed yesterday, which means it will most likely Wednesday.
