JLS Singer Oritse Williams Has Been Found Not Guilty Of Rape

Former JLS singer Oritse Williams has been found not guilty of rape.

The 32-year-old had been accused of the attack by a woman following a gig in Wolverhampton in 2016 but was cleared this week.

Oritse’s tour manager Jamien Nagadhana, 32, was also found not guilty of sexual assault and assault by penetration.

Jurors deliberated for around two hours before unanimously acquitting the singer, who said he had consensual sex with the woman, according to Sky News.

Oritse’s former bandmate Marvin Humes took to Instagram to comment on the verdict, adding that he was proud of his friend.

“Cleared..Not Guilty! Finally my brother Oritse, three years of hell is over!” Marvin wrote.

“No-one will ever know or imagine what he’s been through..I’m just so proud of the way he conducted himself during what has been the most awful time..he is so strong and I know he can’t wait to start his life again now..We love you O.”

Rochelle Humes who is married to Marvin and a friend of Oritse posted a photo of them together.

“This here is our brother, one of the kindest, most gentle, thoughtful men I know. Today he was cleared NOT guilty after 3 years of absolute hell. I’m so proud of how you have conducted yourself throughout this time, I really don’t think I could have held myself in the same way,” she said.

She added: “Reesh we love you so much and I’m writing this crying so many happy tears, it’s over.”

Pixie Lott, Fleur East and Alexandra Burke also shared their support for the singer in the comments.
