Marissa Carter Is Donating ALL Of Her Masterclass Proceeds To A Little Boy With DMD

Six-year-old Vincent needs €441K for life-changing medication. Can you help him too?

Vincent Lyons is a very caring, funny and intelligent little boy with a huge passion for dinosaurs and going fishing with his dad. His dream in life is to become an archaeologist, but sadly there’s a problem.

Vincent, now aged six, is battling Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a genetic disorder causing progressive muscle degeneration and weakness. His muscles don’t make the dystrophin protein, eventually leading to complications with the heart and lungs.

There’s currently no cure for DMD, and while there are no treatments available in Europe, there is a specific medication that’s available to be shipped here and Temple Street Childrens Hospital has agreed to administer it!

It’s *very* expensive though, and Vincent’s mum and dad, Vivien and Alan, need all the help they can get. The cost of the medication is currently €441,000 – plus shipping costs – and with no financial assistance for this, the family have to raise all the funds themselves.

Marissa Carter, founder of Cocoa Brown, is eager to help Vincent’s family reach their goal and has decided to donate ALL the proceeds of her next masterclass to his GoFundMe page. Not only that, but the mum-of-two has vowed to match that amount from her own pocket.

The masterclass takes place on Sunday, 21st January in Dunboyne Castle, promising make-up, skin care and tanning tips. If you’d like to go along and raise money for a good cause, you can buy tickets here.

Or, if you can’t make it but would like to help, donate to Vincent’s GoFundMe page here.
