Netflix Are Releasing A Documentary About Madeline McCann’s Disappearance Later This Month

Netflix have announced they are due to release a documentary about the disappearance of English child, Madeline McCann.

Madeline, who disappeared from her parent’s hotel room while on a holiday in Portugal back in 2007, will be the subject of documentary that aims to gain some insight into what happened the night she went missing.

Although Maddie’s parents Kate and Gerry McCann have reportedly declined to be interviewed by Netflix producers, there is said to be many key figures from the case lined up to appear.

Key investigators in the case, which is still considered ongoing by the Metropolitan Police, will be interviewed for insight and details of the mystery.

“We understand it is a serialised drama but neither Kate, Gerry nor their holiday friends and main players have co-operated in any shape or form,” a friend of the McCanns told The Mail Online.

“And we have no idea who the actors are. We believe it is coming out very soon, within the next two weeks and before the next anniversary.”

Netlflix themselves have confirmed that they did reach out to Kate and Gerry McCann to take part in the documentary – which is said to have cost a massive £20 million to produce.

“We would have welcomed the opportunity of working with the McCanns directly but they informed us they couldn’t and wouldn’t consider taking part while a police investigation is into their daughter’s abduction is ongoing.”

There is no exact air date of the documentary just yet, but it is thought to be released within the next couple of weeks.
