The #FreeThePimple Movement Is Encouraging Women To Share Photos Of Their Acne On Instagram
You go ladies!
Body positivity has been spreading over Instagram lately and we’re all here for it. Women are now confidently displaying pictures of their acne using the hashtag #freethepimple on Instagram.
The aim of the hashtag is to allow women to embrace their makeup-free faces without covering up their spots.
Speaking toΒ i-D magazineΒ about the movement, founder Louise Northcote said: “Growing up I didn’t have people who I could talk to about acne. So now I’ve built this community by using this hashtag.”
Along with four other girls, Louise created a film with i-D about women who suffer from acne:
The movement and hashtag has gained momentum, with thousands of women across the globe now sharing their bare faces using #freethepimple.
