There’s Actually A Lovely Reason Behind Khloe Kardashian’s Decision To Name Her Baby Girl True

So Khloe Kardashian’s newborn has a name!

After giving birth on Thursday, Khloe announced last night via Instagram that she has called her daughter True Thompson.

Our little girl, True Thompson, has completely stolen our hearts and we are overwhelmed with LOVE. Such a blessing to welcome this angel into the family! Mommy and Daddy loooooove you True!

Fans have been a bit critical of the name, considering True’s daddy allegedly hasn’t been too truthful to Khloe as of late…

…But there’s actually quite a sweet story behind the moniker.

Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner explained that though it seems like another wacky Hollywood baby name, True is actually a tribute to her side of the family. She tweeted:

My grandfather’s name on my dad’s side was True Otis Haughton… My real dad’s name was Robert True Houghton… So I am so excited that Khloe named her daughter True!

That’s really nice, isn’t it? OK Khloe, we’re on side.
