Una Healy’s New Song Just Made Us Cry In The Office

Why are we crying in the club right now?

Last summer, news broke that our favourite gal Una Healy had split from her husband of six years, Ben Foden, after he cheated on her with a PR agent.

The singer has kept fairly quiet about the actions of her ex since then, but now she has bared all in her latest single ‘Strangers’, in which she addresses the pain she felt thanks to Ben and his infidelities.

The lyrics of the heartbreaking single refer to the lies and broken promises her ex told her when they were together. Be warned, if you’re feeling a little fragile today, you might shed a tear – we may have.

Una Healy and Ben Foden

“You made me feel like I was going crazy,” Una sings. “Believing all those lies that you fed me.”

“I guess everything I gave was not enough. I gave you my whole heart but, tell me, was it love for you?”

Taking to Instagram, Una revealed it was the song was “most honest track I’ve ever written”. We stan Una.

Strangers

[Chorus 1]
Tell me, did I ever really get to know you?
Did you really care for me like you’re supposed to?
Oh, did you?
Empty, every word you said to me was empty
Broken every promise that you made me
No, we can’t save this

[Pre-Chorus]
After all the memories
And everything we had
Even after all these years
We’re back where we began

[Chorus]
I guess everything I gave was not enough
I gave you my whole heart but, tell me, was it love for you?
I will not regret, I gave my all
Strangers when we met, now strangers at the end

[Verse 2]
You told me, I was yours and you were mine, solely
Never wanted to believe all those stories that they told me
Crazy, you made me feel like I was going crazy
Believing all those lies that you fed me, no, I wasn’t crazy
[Pre-Chorus]
So save your breath
There’s nothing left we’re keeping anyway
We are so much better off to go our separate ways

[Chorus]
I guess everything I gave was not enough
I gave you my whole heart but, tell me, was it love for you?
I will not regret, I gave my all
Strangers when we met, now strangers at the end
Strangers when we met, now strangers at the end
