Would You Let Your Parents Pick Your Dates For A New RTE Show?

They'll get their hands on your Tinder, sign you up for some dances, and anything else they see fit to find you your perfect match!

Is your mum always getting involved in your love life? Is your dad always trying to set you up with his friend’s son who has plenty of land? If you’re sick of swiping, ghosting and disastrous dates it might time you finally let them have their say, because you never know!

A new dating show which will air on RTE is looking for singletons and their parents to sign up.

Parents of disgruntled millennials will roll up their sleeves to give their kid’s dating profiles an old fashioned overhaul, replacing saucy selfies with something more becoming and finding them a suitable date.

As well as a crash course in emojis, the parents will also plan some more traditional solutions, hailing from a simpler time. Will a small ad in the Farmer’s journal be just the ticket?, is there plenty of talent at the GAA club or does one of the neighbours have a niece just home from Australia?

The series will explore the deepest corners of the generation gap, find the aspects of both eras that still work when it comes to dating and maybe even find a few perfect matches!
