Think Pink: 5 Places To Shop To Support Breast Cancer Awareness This Month

Many brands are donating money to charity for every product sold.

Around 3,200 women in Ireland are diagnosed with breast cancer every year, and sadly that number is on the increase. But early detection saves lives. If you catch breast cancer when it’s in its early stages, it’s much easier to treat.

Check your own breasts regularly, perhaps after a shower or before getting dressed in the morning. If you notice any changes, see your GP straight away. It’s unlikely to be cancer, but it’s always safer to check.

As October is breast cancer awareness month, we’d all like to do a little something to help. With that in mind, here are some of the places we can shop to have some of the proceeds donated to charities like the Marie Keating Foundation and the Irish Cancer Society.

M&S

Marks & Spencer will donate 20 per cent of sales on selected lingerie and sports bras to the Marie Keating Foundation.

Inglot

October 14th is Think Pink day in Inglot, and €2 from every pink lipstick or nail polish will be donated to charity.

GHD Pink Blush

By purchasing either this GHD hairdryer or pink styling iron, you’ll be donating €10 to the Irish Cancer Society.

Bumble and Bumble

From October 1st, €6 from every sale of this special edition thickening hairspray will be given to various cancer charities.

BB’s Bakers + Baristas

BB’s is donating 25 cent from the sale of each Raspberry & White Chocolate Muffin sold during October to the Marie Keating Foundation from the 2nd to the 29th of October 2017.
