Electric Picnic Tickets Are Already Being Re-Sold For Stupid Prices After Selling Out In Just 5 Minutes
Were you lucky enough to get your hands on one?
Electric Picnic tickets went on sale this morning at 9am, and by 9:05, they were gone.
Daily tickets were priced at €90 on Ticketmaster, and have already appeared on touting sites for over €350.
The line up has yet to be announced, but will be revealed today at 12pm. Hopefully those who’ve bought tickets this morning will be happy… especially those who are forking out a small fortune on the likes of Seatwave.ie and StubHub.co.uk.
The same thing happened in February when Ed Sheeran tickets sold out in seconds. As a result, Fine Gael’s Noel Rock and Independent TD Stephen Donnelly put forward legislation in the Dáil to clampdown on ticket touting.
Their proposed bill aims to prohibit the resale of tickets for concerts and sporting events for more than their face value, but there’s been no movement on the bill since February.
