Netflix And Chill? Here’s The Best Food To Order If You’re Having A Romantic Date Night With Bae

Because staying in is the new going out.

With the cold, dark nights slowly creeping in, the last thing any couple needs to do is leave the house for date night.

Instead, we’ve teamed up with Deliveroo, who’ve helped us source all of the most yummy, value for money restaurants in Dublin, Cork and Galway so that you can enjoy a romantic meal for two at home. You’re welcome.

Wagamama

Located in Dublin’s South King Street, Wagamama’s Set Meal for 2 includes two main courses, two sides and drinks for just €45. Their duck lettuce wraps are our personal fave, FYI.

Fallon & Byrne

Their Dinner For You & Me deal is ideal for all the wine-loving couples out there. For just €36.95, this Dublin restaurant will give you two mains, two sides AND a bottle of either red or white wine.

Al Boschetto

For those who love Italian food, this authentic Italian menu is made from fresh, carefully-sourced, seasonal ingredients from both Italy and Ireland. Choose any two pasta or risotto dishes, plus two starters and a couple of cold drinks for €42.60. The Penne All’Arrabbiata is particularly delish!

Chai Yo

If you’re a pair who prefer Asian cuisine, Chai Yo on Lower Baggot Street in Dublin serves everything from Thai and Japanese food to classic Chinese dishes. For €35, indulge yourselves in a selection platter including chicken satay, spring rolls, prawn cake and rib teriyaki, as well as stir-fried chicken in black bean sauce and stir-fried beef with chillies and basil leaves. The deal also includes the house special fried rice and a portion of prawn crackers. That’s definite value for money, TBF.

Jamie’s Italian

While this South Dublin restaurant doesn’t have a set menu for two, it does offer plenty of romantic sharing options. The crunchy Italian nachos are nothing short of heavenly, and the Tuscan Pizza? Divine. The menu includes a selection of red and white wines too, so you won’t even need to stop by the off-licence.

Klaw

Do you and your SO love seafood? Then look no further than Klaw, Dublin, where all of the ingredients are locally sourced. For the bargain price of €23, you can get two signature bowls and two drinks. With everything from prawns to lobster, you’re guaranteed a fabulous meal for two.

Tom Barrys

This Cork-based pizzeria will give you a cheesy Monet Pizza and bottle of either Merlot red wine or Sauvignon Blanc white wine for just €27. The pizzas are baked in a wood fired brick oven for that authentic Italian flavour. Nobody does romance quite like the Italians, eh?

Wa Café

Feeling a healthier option? This Galway sushi restaurant offers a meal deal for two, including two mains, two sushi rolls, and a side, all for just €30. Also on the menu is a selection of Japanese beers and house wines, if you’re that way inclined. Sounds good to us.
