Millie Bobby Brown Announces Release Date For Debut Novel

Millie Bobby Brown has just announced the release date for her debut novel entitled Nineteen Steps.

The 19-year old has gone from unknown to super stardom in a matter of minutes, from her breakout role as Eleven in Stranger Things at the age of 12, to her stint as a film producer when she was 13 and starting her own beauty brand Florence By Mills at 15 to starring in a Christmas special with Mariah Carey at 18. It seems 19 is just another step on Millie’s ladder of success.

The young actress took to her Instagram to announced the news of her debut novel, Nineteen Steps, a historical novel, Millie says: “about an amazing, courageous 18-year-old woman called Nellie Morris, who lives with her family in Bethnal Green, in London’s East End, while the second world war rages on around them. When a tragic accident occurs during an air raid one night, the consequences are catastrophic – and life will never be the same again for Nellie”.

She revealed in the video that the novel “has been a really special project for me, it was inspired by my family’s history. I really hope you will find the true spirit of love and strength in Nineteen Steps, and I can’t wait to share it with you”.

Her debut novel will hit shelves on September 12th 2023.

Currently there is no cover and the link to the actress’ family history is vague for now but she did hold up a photo of her grandmother in the video. Millie lost her nanny Ruth in 2020 to Alzheimers disease. While Millie was born in Spain, she grew up in England hearing stories from her grandparents who lived in England during World War II.

We’ll just have to wait till September to delve into the book which is available to pre order now.
