Belfast YouTuber Olivia Neill Reveals She’s ‘Ready’ For Love Island

Could Olivia be the first scouted Islander once cameras start rolling again?

Popular YouTuber Olivia Neill has admitted that she’s ready for Love Island after a recent night out with former Islander Wes Nelson in London.

Having just moved to London, Olivia revealed in a recent video that she’s now ready to take on Love Island, explaining that she’s open for them to contact her even though she has never watched the show.

“Love Island, contact me, slide in my DMs, I’m ready, I’m ready to go, I’ve been putting it off for years,” revealed Olivia.

Adding that she doesn’t know how good of a contestant she’d actually be, she continued by saying:

“If some boy was like ‘can we go for a chat’, I’d be like ‘we can absolutely not do that’.”

And it’s a known thing that Love Island producers scout many of their Islanders. Last year alone, 24 contestants on the summer series came on as a result of scouting, with only six applicants on the show coming from the rigorous application process – where it’s believed a staggering 85,000 people applied.

With Olivia Neill similar to Molly-Mae in terms of social following pre-Love Island, with 500,000 subscribers on YouTube and similarly over 400,000 followers on Instagram, Olivia could be just what the show is looking for when filming kicks off again.

And producers of the hit ITV series have noted that next year’s summer series will be extra long, all going well, making up for a missed summer this year due to the ongoing pandemic.

The last helping of Love Island came from the debut winter series earlier this year in South Africa, when Finn Tapp and Paige Turley were crowned Love Island 2020 winners.

Just recently, we got the news that Love Island would be coming back to our screens for a reunion special. A three-part series looking at where the Islanders are now is set to be filmed and will feature all the winners and standout stars from the show throughout the years.

Well, it’s definitely something that’ll tie us over until the summer series kicks off. You can read more about that here.
