Did Vanessa Hudgens And Austin Butler Reunite At The Oscars?

That seems like a close encounter...

It was the biggest night in Hollywood yesterday as The Academy Awards took place and the celebs were stepping out in style to celebrate the best of cinema this year.

Although Ireland only took home two awards out of the 14 nominations, we’re so proud of everyone who was involved, and it looked like a great night anyway.

Another film who gathered numerous awards but left without a win was Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis. Starring Austin Butler, the film was nominated for eight awards but didn’t make it to the stage this time.


Austin’s ex-girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens, who he dated from 2011 to 2020, was doing the pre-show coverage for ABC, interviewing the celebs as they arrived and chatting about the movies of the night. Of course, this meant fans were waiting to see if she’d be interviewing her ex, who credits her for inspiring him to get the role of Elvis.

But it seems the pair avoided an on-camera reunion. Vanessa did, however, chat to the film’s director and costume designer Baz Luhrmann and Catherine Martin. Praising the film Vanessa told them she was such a fan of the pair.


Austin and Vanessa also both attended the Vanity Fair Oscar party, separately, with Austin arriving with his girlfriend Kaia Gerber and Vanessa walking the carpet alone. Although she was showing off her gorgeous engagement ring, recently given to her by her baseball player fiancé Cole Tucker.


Although we don’t know what happened inside the party, is it easy to avoid your ex of nine-years at the same event after they were nominated for an Oscar for the role you low-key manifested for them? Oh, to be a fly-on-the-wall.

Other attendees at the Vanity Fair party were Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Olivia Wilde to name a few. This was the hottest ticket in town last night and we can’t wait to see more pictures from the event.
