S Club, formerly known as S Club 7, are releasing their first single in over twenty years.

The group have decided to come out with a new song as a tribute to their bandmate Paul Cattermole, who died in April, aged 46.

The Reach singers shared in an Instagram post that the song will be called These Are the Days, and will pay tribute to Paul in particular.

A source told the Sun that the song will celebrate what “an amazing man Paul was”.

“It sounds like a classic which will slot right in with their old tunes”, they added.

Following Paul’s death, the band released a statement that they would continue with their UK and Ireland tour, which will start in Liverpool in October.

However, the band will be continuing as S Club, dropping the seven, as not only will Paul not be there, but fellow band mate Hannah Spearritt.

Hannah has decided not to follow S Club on tour following Paul’s death.

The pair dated for five years while S Club 7 were in their prime, and briefly reconciled again some time later. Band member Jon Lee explained on their instagram, “You’ve probably noticed that there’s only five of us here today, and although Hannah will always be part of S Club 7, she won’t be joining us on this tour”.

The band also explained that they are changing the name of the tour to “The Good Times Tour”, for their “brother Paul”.

We hope the gang can make some amazing memories on tour, and we can’t wait to hear the new single!
