Tommy Fury Opens Up About Planning Molly-Mae’s Proposal
We CANNOT wait for Tommy & Molly Mae's wedding
Tommy Fury’s proposal to his Love Island sweetheart Molly-Mae Hague is the talk of the town. And seeing as the beautiful moment has launched a thousand Pinterest boards and Instagram saves, you’d imagine it was months in the planning to get things so perfect. But that’s far from the case!
Speaking with fellow Love Island alum, Michael Griffiths, the boxer confessed he only had a few weeks to plan the big moment.
“I would say two, maybe three weeks before it happened.”
“This was a quick turnaround. Thanks to everybody who was involved, it turned around very quickly and we pulled it off, it was great,” the 24-year-old explained.

But even though it was a rush, Tommy pulled it off perfectly, and shared how “sweet” it was.
“Honestly it went better, she was completely taken away, completely swept off her feet, I love to see her happy, you know,” the father-of-one said.
Tommy also shared how special it was to have their newborn daughter Bambi there as he got down on one knee.
Saying: “Bambi was there, so it’s an amazing thing. When Bambi’s older she can look back at that video and think ‘you know what, that was the moment in time when my mum and dad got engaged.”
The reality star also revealed that he thought up the beautiful moment by himself.
Explaining: “I had a great team. I had a great team helping me, but honestly – all the ideas and stuff like that, it was myself. Putting it together was a different story, so it wouldn’t have happened without a team.”
“You’ve got to have a good team around you, like in boxing, you have a great team around you to get forward, and in terms of the proposal, I had the best team.”
The Manchester man then shared his wisdom for a happy relationship.
“I’m not trying to come across like I’ve been married 80 years, but I would say, the key to having a successful and long relationship is communication. You have to speak to each other,” he detailed.
