Bella Hadid has spoken out on her battle with Lyme disease, confessing she has struggled greatly with her health this year and is taking a break from her busy schedule and life in the spotlight.

Fans had been worried about the model as she skipped some very high-profile events in the fashion world, which she previously loved. Including the Met Gala, Paris Fashion Week, and Cannes Film Festival.

In April, the 26-year-old told fans she was struggling with her health, after a standard root canal surgery lead to an infection, which exacerbated her struggle with Lyme disease.

The model has got candid once more, confessing her absence was due to her vulnerable condition.

In a frank IG post, Bella began: “The little me that suffered would be so proud of grown me for not giving up on myself.”

The supermodel admitted that working while in such a vulnerable condition had taken its toll, so she stepped back from her modeling. “Living in this state, worsening with time and work while trying to make myself, my family and the people who support me, proud, had taken a toll on me in ways I can’t really explain.”

“To be that sad and sick with the most blessings/privilege/opportunity/love around me was quite possibly the most confusing thing ever.”

“One thing I want to express to you all is that 1: I am okay and you do not have to worry, and 2: I wouldn’t change anything for the world. If I had to go through all of this again, to get here, to this exact moment I’m in right now, with all of you, finally healthy, I would do it all again. It made me who I am today,” she told fans.
