ICYMI: Meet The Big Brother Cast
It's back!
Big Brother is back!
The hit TV show has returned after a five year hiatus, and sees a new cast of carefully selected housemates, from all walks of life, becoming the first people to take up residence in the brand-new Big Brother house.
As before, Big Brother has clever tasks, nail-biting nominations and live evictions in store for us. The public once again plays a crucial role, voting throughout the series and ultimately determining the winner, who will walk away with a life changing cash prize.

It’s bound to be scandalous!
In last night’s episode, we met our new housemates, and saw some devastating consequences for the losers of a series of challenges.
Of course, in classic Big Brother fashion, there were also some exciting twists. You can catch up on episode one on the Virgin Media Player, in case you missed it!
So who are the lucky (or unlucky) housemates who are under Big Brother’s wrath for the foreseeable?
Let’s take a look.
Chanelle
Chanelle is a 29 year old dental therapist from Llanelli. Her friends would describe her as “fun, bubbly, quite resilient. Humble and grounded with a lot of energy.”
Dylan
Dylan is a 39 year old DJ from Coventry. His interesting fact about himself is that he appeared on a TV show called The Last Leg about amputees – two years before he lost his leg! Wild.
Farida
Farida is a 50 year old make-up artist from Wolverhampton. Farida is passionate about being a representative for Asian women on TV. “I’m very proud of who I am…I want to let people know that us Muslims, we really aren’t suppressed.
“I used to be a holiday rep!”
Zak
Zak is a 28 year old model from Manchester. He doesn’t want to be stereotyped, though: “I’m not like a typical model, I’m a down to earth guy. People assume I’m arrogant but when they actually get to know me I’ve got a lot more to offer.”
Henry
Henry is a 25 year old food writer from Cotswolds. He likes the finer things in life. “I mean, I’ll be honest, my parents would definitely say I’m a bit of a snob but I take it as a compliment.”
Hallie
Hallie is an 18 year old youth worker from London, who isn’t afraid to say what she’s thinking.
“I’m a bit of a diva and I speak my mind but I’m also a very lovely person. I’m a girl’s girl, for sure.”
Jenkin
Jenkin is a 25 year old barman from Bridgend. His fun fact is that he’s “fluent in Welsh”, which he describes as a “slay”. We agree with you Jenkin!
“And I can probably rap Cardi B’s album start to finish.” Love it.
Jordan
Jordan is a 25 year old lawyer from Scunthorpe. He’s most looking forward to “being fed and watered, not having to pay bills and having that decked out house in which to live.” Fair!
Matty
Matty is a 24 year old doctor from the Isle of Man. His friends would describe him as “Someone who is kind and fun and doesn’t take life too seriously.”
Noky
Noky is a 26 year old banker from Derby. She signed up for the show because she “loves challenges”.
“I’ve had so many amazing times in my life, like going to Miss Universe as Miss Great Britain. I like to do something different and I think this is the next challenge I want to conquer.”
Kerry
Kerry is a 40 year old NHS manager from Essex.
Her fun fact is that she was once on Deal or No Deal – “and won £35,000.” So TV appearances might be her lucky charm!
Olivia
Olivia is a 23 year old dancer from Glasgow. Her friends would say she’s “loud, confident, and annoying”.
“I’m the type of person who is up for anything. I’m the life and soul of the party.”
Yinrun
Yinrun is a 25 year old customer service agent from Harrogate. Her dream if she won Big Brother is to live in the countryside.
“I want to move to a farm. That’s my final dream, I will live on a farm and have some chickens, grow my organic vegetables and have a puppy to run around.”
Paul
Paul is a 23 year old security officer from Liverpool.
His party trick is that he can “make smoke in my mouth and blow it out without inhaling anything.” Interesting.
Tom
Tom is a 21 year old butcher from Somerset. He’s worried that he might be a little too honest in the house.
“I think I might potentially offend some people. My mouth moves faster than my brain.”
Trish
Trish is a 33 year old mum from Luton. She wanted to go on Big Brother to “humanise refugees and immigrants.”
“Especially in this political climate. I want people to see that behind the stats and figures, there are real humans.”
Big Brother continues tonight, Moday 9th at 9pm on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player.
