Lisa Rinna Is Getting Candid About Sex After 60

Lisa Rinna has been with husband Harry Hamlin since 1997 – that’s almost 30 years.

The iconic duo met in the early nineties, when both were in relationships with other people.

They reconnected again when they were single, and dated for five years before Harry popped the question – and they’ve been head over heels ever since.

Of course, a relationship in your thirties is going to look pretty different from one in your sixties; and we’re not just talking about your hobbies.

Lisa Rinna has opened about the reality of sex when you’re older, and how your sex life with your partner evolves as you age.

Speaking to Cosmopolitan for their Sex After 60 issue, Linna spoke frankly about her experience.

“I do think that desire levels change for a man, that’s just the natural evolution of life,” Lisa admitted.

“So it’s figuring out how to coexist without taking that personally as a woman,” she continued.

“I think that it’s almost more about companionship and about creating space for the ebb and flow of sexuality.”

The actress continued to explain that just because sex gets less frequent or changes shape in some way, that doesn’t mean it isn’t as fulfilling or enjoyable.

“We really have great sex together, and we always have,” Lisa went on.

“It’s just that maybe it doesn’t happen quite as often as it did when you’re in your 30s and in your 20s, I would say. And I think that’s normal.”

Hell yeah, Lisa! We love to hear a woman speaking openly about the realities of healthy sexual relationships.

Lisa also explained that she feels it’s important to speak about how rich the lives of older women are, to show that ageing doesn’t mean your life is over.

“I was so excited to shoot this cover because this is the kind of thing that moves the needle,” she said.

“It moves the needle for my daughters. It moves the needle for women to go, ‘Holy shit. You can do that.

“You do not have to give up, go out to pasture, calm down, turn it way down when you turn 60 or when you get older.'”
