5 City Breaks Ideal For A Gals Trip This Spring
Let's go girls...
Alas, dry January has come to a long-awaited end. Honestly, that month is a total drag, but can you finally smell it? That crisp spring air! We are well and truly into 2024, the year of new beginnings, more memories, lots of laughs, and good vibes. I think this calls for a girl’s trip!
Spring is the perfect time to explore the world with your gals. The weather is ideal, without it being too hot or too cold. The days are getting longer, the nights shorter and the evenings brighter, meaning more time for adventure.
So, without further ado… here is a list of Stellar’s gem city breaks that you and your girls have got to add to your 2024 Spring itinerary.
1. Lisbon, Portugal
Lisbon has been on the rise as one of the most popular sunny destinations of the Spring season.
Walking is the best and easiest way to explore this beautiful city, although public transport is also convenient and cheap.
Keep your eyes peeled for the word, ‘Miradoura,’ Portuguese for viewpoint. It’s at these points that you will discover the best in music, drinks and a good time with your girls. Some favourites include Miradoura de Santa Luzia, Miradoura Portos do Sol, Miradoura Santa Catarina and Miradoura San Pedro.
Take a day trip across to the seaside town of Cascais which is only a 40-minute train ride away from the city… kind of like the Notting Hill of Lisbon, ideal for wandering around and taking in the breath-taking aesthetic.

2. Copenhagen, Denmark
A Scandinavian Spring. Honestly, the things to do here are endless.
Of course, Copenhagen has become the star of all things architecture and design. The creativity and craftsmanship that lies within it is reason enough to visit this incredible city.
So if you’re an interior design girly, or are simply enthralled by unique disposition then make it your priority to explore the Scandinavian design and concept stores. Here are some of Stellar’s recommendations; Stilleben No.22, HAY House, Studio Arhoj, Monday Sunday, and Dansk.
Explore the streets of Nyhavn, take some group pics for the gram, and choose from a huge selection of the cutest cafes where you and your girls can enjoy a debrief and a coffee…rumour is that there’s not a bad cup to be had in Copenhagen.
If you’re a lover of Disney then the Tivoli Gardens is a must add to your Copenhagen itinerary. Get lost in the magic of this vintage theme park which was the initial inspiration for Disney.
@avjooduraku thanks for the memories, Copenhague 💗 #copenhagen #citytrip #itinerary #aesthetic #thingstodoincopenhagen #copenhagentiktok #copenhagenaesthetic #traveltiktok #girlstrip #københavn #københavn🇩🇰 #københavntips #danmark #travelcopenhagen #copenhagenguide #pourtoi #voorjou #fyp
3. Granada, Spain
One of Europe’s most underrated cities. We have all heard about Barcelona and Madrid, so why not switch it up and get whisked away by the beautiful Granada, Spain?
Granada is a popular spot for students who study abroad so you best believe this space becomes active during the Spring.
Granada is rich in its history, architecture, and Spanish culture which is what gives this city its wholesome and special feel. We recommend a visit to the famous Alhambra Palace, Plaza Nueva, and Granada Cathedral. Have a stroll around the Moorish quarter or watch the sunset at Mirador De San Nicolás.
@cris.rem mi ciudad es preciosa 🤍 #granada #spring #minivlog #flores #minivlog #fyp
4. Bath, UK
Like a scene from one of those old English movies, it even holds some of Bridgerton’s most iconic filming locations! If you and the girls are looking for a main character moment, then a quick swim across the pond to Bath should be on the top of your Spring bucket list.
This old town is a Jane Austen fan’s dream. If you’re looking to experience the beauty of the English countryside whilst becoming engrossed in its history and deep culture then here are some of our top places to see.
Take a stroll through Prior Park for those Pride and Prejudice throwbacks. If you’ve been thinking about the Roman Empire lately then you obviously must take a trip to the Roman Baths. A visit to the Royal Crescent and the Bath Abbey are absolute musts if you love history. Take a tour of the Bath Abbey Tower and well… the exquisite views you will find are unmatched.
If you are more of a picture girl and are simply here for the vibes, then get lost down the winding streets of Abbey Garden and Greenstreet or stay a night in the Bath Spa Hotel.
@thechaosdiaries Welcome to the beautifully historic city that has it all ✨ This is Bath, a small Georgian city in England that is completely surrounded by the wonderful English countryside 🌱 One of my favourite things about living here is how accessible the countryside is, as it’s a tiny city you don’t need to drive and can instead simply go out on an evening walk with a picnic in nature 🧺 Next time you visit Bath, be sure to make some time to visit the countryside around it – some of my favourite places include: 🍃 Prior Park – a landscape garden perched on a hillside overlooking Bath 🌸 Iford Manor – historic venue with Italianate garden and cloister 🌾 Solsbury Hill – a small flat-topped hill and the site of an Iron Age hill fort 🍄 Dundas Aquaduct – an ancient monument carrying the Kennet & Avon canal 🌱 Kelston Roundhill – Walking route over green rolling hills offering picturesque views of Bristol & Bath 🌷Bath Skyline walk – A 3 mile circular walk from Bath city centre out to the countryside of the Bath Skyline #bathuk #visitbath #cityofbath #bathengland🇬🇧 #bathengland #englandtravel #uktravel #visitengland #england🇬🇧 #traveluk #uktravelblogger #unlimitedbritain
5. Bologna, Italy
For all our foodies… this is Bologna, the food capital of Italia. This city is filled with Erasmus students so it is guaranteed to have a buzz in the Spring.
Here is a whole menu of places to visit for the best in breakfast, lunch and dinner in this mouth-watering, Italian city.
For your morning cappuccino and croissant, why not try the; Aroma Specialty Coffees or Lampadina for a sweet treat?
It’s lunch time! If you’re in the mood for some Italian cured meats then La Proscuitteria is an absolute treat. If you’re a pasta gal then lunch at Trattoria dal Biassnot is to die for. For all the people watchers, Tamburini is the ideal spot to sit back and get lost in all the hustle and bustle of the busier side of town.
An evening meal in the family-run, Da Cesari will leave you speechless. Of course, you can’t come to Italy and have some pizza, so for this, we would recommend Zapap Pratello!
