Are Your Dreams Trying To Tell You Something?
Hmm...
It’s safe to say that at some point in our lives most of us have woken up from a dream and found ourselves wondering – what did that mean?
Some psychologists believe that our dreams can provide an insight to our psyche, and that they are trying to tell us something.
So, in an attempt to understand what our dreams are trying to tell us, we have listed the most common dreams and their possible meanings!
Falling
One minute you’re walking along a footpath when suddenly the ground opens up and you’re falling down into a nothingness.
Your heart is beating as your falling further and further, and then slam! You wake up safe and sound in bed and it was all a dream.
Does this sound familiar? If so, it could mean a few things like maybe you’re feeling out of control, anxious, overwhelmed, inadequate, inferior, or even insecure.
It might be a sign to take some time to relax before bed and check in with how you’re feeling.
However, maybe you actually did fall that day and your mind is simply replaying the event in your dream!
Being Chased
Being chased is a common nightmare theme for lots of people.
It could be your subconscious trying to tell you that your body is stressed and that you need to take a break.
On the other hand, this dream could be telling you that you have a problem that you need to face.
For example, maybe your’re having difficulties working through something and you need to book an appointment with a therapist, but you keep putting it off.
Being Pregnant
Waking up from this dream might be a relief for some people, but can also be heartbreak for others.
Dreaming that you’re pregnant doesn’t always mean that you want a baby, and it could mean you subconsciously have a need for something.
For some the need is to become a parent but for others it could be a creative need like wanting to start a new project.
Teeth Falling Out
Some believe that this dream is supposedly a sign that something in your life has caused you to lose your confidence or power.
It could also just mean that you’re having jaw or tooth pain.
Meeting A Celebrity
We reckon meeting your favourite celebrity is a universal dream!
It could simply mean that you’re a huge fan and really want to meet them someday, or this dream could be telling you something about your ambitions.
Maybe you want to be able to sing like the celebrity in your dream and your subconscious is telling you to go for singing lessons.
No one knows for sure what our dreams mean but that’s not going to stop us from trying to make sense of them!
