It’s been 35 years since Harry Burns told Sally Albright he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her at the New Year’s party.

When Harry Met Sally is probably the best romcom to ever exist. They simply don’t make ’em like they used to, and now, stars Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal are reuniting for… something?

Meg took to Instagram to share a recent photo of the pair paying homage to the ending of the iconic film, where Harry and Sally recall the beginnings of their relationship.

“It’s finally happening, we’re reuniting for something iconic,” Meg wrote. “Can’t wait to show you all soon.”

But what Meg? What?!

There has been a bit of speculation around what exactly this “something iconic” is going to be.

Legendary When Harry Met Sally writer Nora Ephron has sadly passed away so it’s looking fairly unlikely that we’re going to be getting an actual sequel (and that’s probably a good thing).

Most fans, however, are expecting that the pair are reuniting for a Super Bowl advert, which isn’t all that exciting but listen, we’ll take it.

Billy and Meg attended a TCM event five years ago together to mark the film’s 30th anniversary, where a special screening of When Harry Met Sally was shown.

“It was thrilling when they said, ‘We want to honour the film after all these years,’” Billy said at the event. “To see the attention that it’s getting and to see how people are reacting to seeing all of us together.”

When Harry Met Sally was released by Colombia Pictures in 1989. Directed by Rob Reiner and written by the aforementioned Ephron, the film received rave reviews and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.

It has since become known as one of the best romantic comedies in history, remembered for its iconic Katz’s Delicatessen scene, its beautiful soundtrack, and of course, the fashion.

While Meg and Billy have yet to confirm what they’re actually working on, we’re hoping it’s been worth the wait.
