What We Know About Lady Gaga’s New Album, Mayhem
LG7 is almost here!
Lady Gaga is back – and her newest album, Mayhem, is coming soon.
Gaga announced the title and release date of her 7th album this week, and to say we’re excited is an understatement.
The album will consist of 14 songs and Gaga herself has stated that she is “returning to the pop music her earliest fans loved”. Old school Gaga – yes, please!
The announcement uploaded to her social media platforms very much gave a similar aesthetic to her older music, like The Fame Monster, which was released over a decade ago. It was dark and gothic and everything we associate with 2000s Gaga.

The album is “utter chaos,” Gaga told Elle Magazine. She describes the record as having 90s, alternative and electro-grunge influences and says that creating it was a “labour of total love”. The singer executive-produced the album with her fiancé Michael Polanski and Andrew Watt.
Little Monsters have taken to X with their enthusiasm for the release of the album exclaiming that “Gaga’s created a dark pop album every decade for the last three decades and all of them have been career highlights. Mayhem will be no exception”. We agree!

Gaga released a duet with Bruno Mars, ‘Die With a Smile,’ and the single ‘Disease’ in the latter half of last year. Both songs are set to appear on Mayhem.
The full album is set to release on March 7. In the meantime, time we can look forward to the 3rd single from album and its music video, which will debut on February 2 at this year’s Grammy Awards.
If it’s anything like Gaga’s other Grammy appearances it is guaranteed to be iconic.
