Carrie Bradshaw’s style still has us in a chokehold, even decades after the release of SATC. Her tulle tutu, paired with a pastel tank top and (of course) heels is a fashion moment we should all be taking notes on.

It’s fun, flirty and shows how tulle can be worn outside of a ballet performance.

This Dior fit is so far out of reach for the majority of us, but that doesn’t mean we can’t borrow some inspiration from the iconic look.

This gown is sheer, bold and sure to turn heads. Who knew tulle could be sexy ? Far from your childhood ballet tutu, this dress is grown up and edgy.

This look is for the cool girls, who like to experiment with gender blurring silhouettes and enjoy stealing clothes from their Dad or boyfriend’s wardrobe.

Chanel’s iconic tweed suit was given a revamp in their FW25 collection with a delicate tulle overlay. This look is bold and high contrast but works perfectly as the tulle floats over the tweed creating a new silhouette.

Take this as your sign to play with textures when styling the fabric of the season. Don’t by shy to throw on a suit jacket and see what happens. This Chanel look shows that tulle doesn’t have to be powder pink, darker fabric can look equally as delicate and feminine.

As much as we love gazing in awe at celebrity style inspiration, it’s time to look at some more affordable options to get the trend in real life. Here is a collection of tulle bits that we think would look good in your wardrobe.

When I was a little girl, I was given a collection of tulle dresses. A pastel green Tinkerbell dress and a hot pink tutu were my prize possessions. I’d wear them around the house with little heels adorned with bows, like a true fairy princess.

As I grew up, being ‘girly’ began to feel like a weakness. I ditched the pink and adapted to a more tomboy aesthetic. That’s why this tulle trend is so refreshing.

Whether you want to look like a full on ballerina in a pastel gown or just want to add a tulle mini skirt to your night out fit rotation, this trend proves that romance is back.

It’s bold, dreamy and ethereal and ready to turn your everyday wardrobe into a fashion week runway. However you wear it, wear it proudly.

It’s finally time to stop seeing femininity as a weakness and start embracing it.
