Whatever Happened Between Jessy Potts & Joey Essex?

Jessy Potts is back in the Love Island villa – and she had quite the entrance. 

The islander entered the All Stars villa this week during the Heart Rate challenge, and it’s safe to say she got a few hearts racing.

Viewers may remember Jessy from Love Island a few years back, where she coupled up with Joey Essex, eventually leaving the villa together.

Joey moved onto Jessy after originally rekindling his romance with ex Grace, who was also in the villa at the time.

Jessy and Joey dated for two months after leaving the villa back in 2024.

At the time, Jessy said that she and Joey were adjusting to real life outside of the villa, and that they hadn’t had a lot of time to be together due to Joey’s work schedule.

“I speak to him on the phone every day. We’re organising when to see each other, and I think it’s hard because you compare it to the other couples,” she told Heat at the time.

“They’re with each other 24/7, whereas we always knew it was going to be different because he’s catching up on his normal life, whereas for the rest of us we’re thrown into a new life.”

It wasn’t long before the pair split, both issuing separate statements.

“I appreciate the Love Island experience I had with Joey, we tried to make it work but it wasn’t to be,” Jessy said.

“I’m so grateful to everyone who supported us and look forward to all of the exciting opportunities ahead,” while Joey said: “I truly wish Jessy the very best with whatever she does in the future.”

Jessy has kept a fairly low profile in the romance department since that time, but her time in the All Stars villa is sure to turn a few heads.
