Aviator Glasses Are Back For Summer 2026 – Here’s Our Favs

The year was 2016, and we had our rose-tinted glasses on. No seriously we genuinely did.

The last time we heard that aviator glasses were trending was 10 years ago, and we were all hyper fixated on having those big circle frames with skinny arms that made us look like we were auditioning for a reboot of Top Gun.

And just like all things in life, particularly fashion, everything comes back around, and these aviator glasses are no different… but they have had a slight upgrade since. The trend for this summer still supports the style of big round frames, but now they are met with dark chunky arms that wrap around the face, almost acting like a goggle.

The new look is giving Do Not Disturb, but in the best way as we all channel our inner celebrity. Instead of the rose-tinted frames, the aviators of today have orange/yellow lenses that complement dark frames to really make them pop.

And yes, these glasses are created to protect your eyes from the sun; but they are also just the perfect accessory to add to your outfit. Whether you are wearing a long-embellished summer dress or just blue jeans and a white tee, these sunnies elevate your look from basic to chic.

The styles have been spotted on the likes of Rhianna and even our very own Charleen Murphy at Coachella, and if these girls are repping the styles, we know it’s definitely trending.

Leading the way in the design is Tom Ford, with everyone trying to get their hands on the iconic pair. Following suit is Loewe and of course Quay who have their own take on the shades.
