A bit more affordable...

Get excited because The Devil Wears Prada 2 is set to hit the cinemas in only a weeks’ time.

The buzz around this film is highly anticipated and with a film set in the fashion world, we want to give you the opportunity to embrace your inner fashionista – but on a smaller budget.

The Devil Wears Prada worldwide premier in New York City saw some of the highest fashion stepping out onto the red carpet. The stars of the movie bedazzled us with their iconic outfits – and we saw the devil red popping.

We have to discuss Anne Hathaway’s stunning red gown. She strutted in her high fashion custom Louis Vuitton red satin dress with a structured corset bodice with pointed ends that mimic devil horns. Very fitting.

As much as we can all appreciate how desirable this dress is not many of us are getting a call from Louis Vuitton asking if we want a custom dress. Maybe one day, but until that happens, we have a stunning duplicate you can purchase without breaking the bank.

House Of CB have many similar styles to this dress, especially their Lady Scarlet Strapless Midi Dress, which also comes in other colour options if you feel red is not your colour.

This dress is almost identical and is actually purchasable, unlike Anne’s custom. The dress retails for 218 making it a perfect and more affordable gown for any big event.

Whether you’re planning to attend a wedding or just want to be the most fashionable at a cocktail party, this dress screams high-end.

Another stand out at the premier was Meryl Streep, wearing a captivating vermilion leather cape designed by Sarah Burton.

If you thought this woman couldn’t be more iconic, you are wrong, because she paired this outfit with the matching leather bow tie around her neck.

The Givenchy cape is a piece from dreams but let’s be real, there are not many places we can go and wear an outfit like that.

Essential Antwerp may have a more practical item to wear though, their orange A-line mini dress with cape-like sleeves has a more casual yet still fashionable answer to Meryl’s look.

The dress also comes in a pink colour and retails for 275. This mini dress is an outfit that could be worn to any event, especially in the summer with its mid-weight and stretchy fabric.

Emily Blunt, famously known as first assistant Emily, stepped onto the red carpet wearing an unforgettable Schiaparelli strapless, champagne gown featuring a voluminous, asymmetrical tiered skirt made with layers of blush tulle.

The design gives a defying gravity effect and with it being designed with over 300 pearls, it’s giving larger-than-life. If you’re not planning on walking a red carpet for a major film anytime soon, there are not many places to wear this kind of dress.

But there are many dresses available on the market that have that royal dress vibe with a bouncy fluffy skirt and tight top. One in particular we found that looks quite similar yet is less extravagant is JJ’s House’s Chelsea Satin Dress.

The dress comes in many different colours and retails at 243. The dress has the same ball gown and princess design with a corset detailing on the top half, allowing a gorgeous silhouette to be achieved.

The similar heart shaped neckline could also have an eye-catching neckpiece added to it to achieve the look better.

Yes, the stars of the film looked absolutely incredible, but what about the other celebrities attending the premier? Lady Gaga, who is appearing in the film, wore a vintage, simple yet elegant black gown from Saint Laurent.

With its strapless neckline and structure silhouette, Gaga was giving class.

Kouvr Boutique offers a similar looking black mermaid gown and for only 100. This dress is perfect for an evening event such as a cocktail party or a dinner with friends.

The dress also comes in a yellow colour which makes it more vibrant. The dress features a structure corset and a subtle lace design; the gown itself is an experience.

Another stand out gracing the red carpet in a sleek, light-blue gown was Madelaine Petsch. She stunningly wore a fully sheer Georges Hobeika dress, covered in intricate floral embroidery.

The dress was designed as a floor length gown with a cold-shoulder look.

The dress almost feels out of this world, but still we have found a very similar gown for a lot cheaper. While the original couture piece can cost thousands, we have found a dress that captures the sheer blue lace look for under 100.

Although it’s not an exact match, we think it still fits the criteria – the Meshki Elaine Chiffon Beaded Maxi Dress in sky blue. This dress provides elegance and refined glamour for whatever event you’re shopping for.

The dress is also designed with a built-in one-piece bodysuit for seamless support and comfort.
