Saturday Night Live UK kicked off last month – to rave reviews!

Nicola Coughlan made an appearance on the first-ever show back in March.

Over the weekend, she returned to the stage to host the comedy sketch show, and it’s safe to say we were dying to see her take on hosting duties.

The Derry Girls star was joined by the Foo Fighters on Saturday night as the musical guest.

Nicola branded the show SNL UK and Ireland during her opening monologue before she jumped into skit after skit.

Some of the sketches that really tickled people were her playing Paula from Accounts in a Take A Break! style magazine. She shares crazy stories, including having sex with her neighbour’s ghost and being abducted by aliens.

Another skit saw her play a flight attendant, and she even got to run around the soundstage with Jimmy Fallon.

The American chat show host is Saturday Night Live US royalty, and he gave Nicola some tips about hosting the show.

She also made a reference to when Christopher Walken hosted the American version of the comedy show with Foo Fighters. Of course, Christopher has a very unique accent, so Nicola copied the way he says the iconic rock band’s name.

Fans absolutely adored Nicola hosting the show and called for her to come back to host again.

One viewer wrote: “That was an amazing hour with @nicolacoughlan , @foofighters and the cast of SNL. My mother and I laughed so much that our stomachs hurt. So, thank you.”

“This was sooo good! Thank you for making Nicola the host! She was born to be a comedian! had so much fun watching it!” another said.
