The Festival Fashion Trends Taking Over Ireland This Summer
Slay
Ireland’s summer has been packed with unforgettable live music. From Katy Perry, Lewis Capaldi, Florence and the Machine to the excitement building for Electric Picnic, the country’s concert calendar has never looked better.
But while the artists have been stealing the spotlight on stage, festival-goers have been putting on a show of their own. After I attended Olivia Dean in Marlay Park and Calvin Harris in Malahide Castle the last few weeks, one thing became impossible to ignore: Irish girls are absolutely nailing festival fashion.
Certain colours, silhouettes and textures kept appearing everywhere, creating the ultimate formula for looking effortlessly cool. If you’re heading to your next concert or festival, these are the ten trends you’ll want to recreate.
1. Crochet Galore
Crochet has officially become the hero fabric of festival season. Colourful crochet shorts, matching sets and knitted crochet beanies bring the perfect mix of vintage bohemian charm and playful Y2K energy.
They’re breathable enough for long days in the sun while adding texture and personality to every outfit. Bright multicoloured crochet pieces in particular instantly make a statement.

2. Aquamarine Everything
No colour has stood out more this summer than aquamarine. This fresh, ocean-inspired shade instantly brightens any festival outfit and feels effortlessly summery. Whether it’s a crop top, mini dress or matching co-ord, aqua photographs beautifully, suits many different skin tones and stands out in every crowd.
Edikted has embraced the trend perfectly, with its aquamarine halter top being one of my personal favourites, as nothing says summer quite like a vibrant halter neckline.

3. Fringe Boots
Festival footwear has become just as important as the outfit itself, and fringe cowboy boots are leading the way. They perfectly balance practicality with style, making them ideal for dancing across fields all day while still looking incredibly fashion-forward.
The movement of the fringe adds drama with every step, giving every outfit a subtle western influence that feels both nostalgic and completely current, These Pull and bear boots are particularly a show-stopper.

4. Suede Bags
If one accessory completed almost every look I spotted, it was a suede bag. This rich texture instantly elevate even the simplest outfit, adding a relaxed bohemian feel that works beautifully with crochet, denim and floaty dresses.
Neutral suede tones are endlessly versatile, making them an investment piece you’ll continue reaching for long after festival season has ended. If you want to style yourself a coachella-inspired fit, a suede bag with studs in particular is the cherry on top.

5. Sparkly Knit
Metallics are perfect for summer styling. Sparkly knitted tops have become the ultimate evening festival piece, catching the golden hour light beautifully before sparkling under concert stage lights.
Whether styled with denim shorts, white mini skirts or suede accessories, this knitwear creates an effortlessly glamorous look without feeling overdone. It’s the perfect balance between relaxed festival dressing and elevated evening style. Add a lace bra underneath and a gold statement pendant for extra flare.
6. Sequin Mini Skirts
Festival season is the perfect excuse to wear sequins in the middle of the day. Mini skirts covered in sparkle bring instant energy to any outfit while reflecting every beam of sunshine and stage light.
Styled with oversized boots, simple tanks or an abundance of body glitter, sequins create a playful fit that feels bold, glamorous and completely unforgettable.

7. Little White Dresses
The little white dress remains a festival classic for good reason. Floaty silhouettes feel light, feminine and comfortable enough for hours of walking, dancing and singing.
Soft ruffles and delicate fabrics embrace the romantic bohemian aesthetic dominating this summer’s style. Design by Si’s flowing white dress perfectly captures this effortless elegance while keeping you cool from day to night.

8. Accessory Maximalism
More is definitely more this festival season. Body chains, chunky hoop earrings, layered necklaces, bangles and statement belts have transformed simple outfits into standout looks.
Accessories are no longer an afterthought-they’re the finishing touch that makes every outfit feel funky and unique. Croía Jewellery has every chunky hoop earring you’ll need to complete the look.

9. Micro Shorts
Tiny denim shorts are officially back. Micro shorts create the perfect base for oversized tops, crochet pieces and dramatic accessories while keeping outfits practical for warm festival days.
Styled with cowboy boots and a flowy top, they strike the perfect balance between casual and confident, bringing plenty of Y2K influence to this summer’s festival wardrobes.
10. Statement Sunglasses
No festival outfit is complete in the 2026 summer season without a pair of bold sunglasses. Oversized frames, colourful lenses and unusual shapes are the trending piece that instantly make every outfit feel more editorial.
Beyond protecting your eyes from the sunshine, statement sunglasses add personality, confidence and that effortless cool-girl energy every festival look deserves. Sometimes one standout accessory is all it takes to transform an outfit, perfect for wanting to look lavish and also protect your eyes from dust, which is needed in Ireland.

Festival fashion this year is embracing a bold mix of boho-grunge layering and eclectic textures all elevated with Y2K glamour and plenty of sparkle. The perfect pair of boots keeps every look grounded for long days outdoors, while rhinestones, metallics and dramatic accessories ensure every outfit still feels showstopping.
Whether you’re heading to Lily Allen or Electric Picnic, feel like your own rock star this music season. Dress boldly, embrace vibrant colours, experiment with textures and don’t be afraid to stand out. Festival style should feel fun, daring, glamorous and unapologetically expressive.
