Love Island’s Fitzy Tipped For Another Irish Reality Show

It wouldn’t be the first time that our reality stars have swapped the Love Island villa for the Dancing with the Stars dancefloor.

Now it looks like the people behind the show are eager to get this year’s batch of Irish Islanders onto the RTÉ series.

Sean “Fitzy” Fitzgerald and Charleen Murphy were both dumped from the villa in recent days, and it’s no surprise that the national broadcaster is looking to snap them up for the next series.

An RTÉ insider told The Irish Sun: “Fitzy and Charleen are now top of the wish list for Dancing With The Stars next year. Not only because of their fame on Love Island, but also because of their huge social media followings.”

They went on to say that they want to “attract younger viewers” so getting the two Irish Love Island stars is a “the number one priority”.

“DWTS bookers will be hoping they do well on Love Island, but not well enough that RTE can’t afford to book them next year, as UK offers would trump any deals they can do in Ireland,” the source added.

“It would be a dream for RTE to have them on DWTS next year posting their rehearsal clips and behind-the-scenes. It would be a massive boost to ratings.”

And while it seems like Fitzy is happy enough to stay here in Ireland – and we could easily see him popping on his dancing shoes – it seems like Charleen is ready for bigger things.

Most notably moving to the UK. She said this week: “Now I want to move to London. I’ve said it for years and I’m sick of myself saying it. So I think I will, maybe like autumn time.”
