Few spritzes, be grand

Toning mists – you’ve probably heard of them.

You’ve probably seen them in the skincare aisle in Boots, or on your fyp as you scroll TikTok and watch girls remove layers and layers of chin straps and eye masks as they do their alleged morning routines.

You’ve probably seen that they come in a nice spritz bottle, that a lot of brands sell them, and that they leave the skin looking super hydrated.

But what are toning mists, what do they actually do, and what are some of our favs?

Toning mists are basically your quick skin saviour – hydration in a bottle that nourishes, plumps, and creates a natural, dewy look to wear on its own or under makeup.

Most brands out there say to use your toning mist after cleansing and before your serum and moisturiser, to give your skin the best base possible before using heavier or more active products.

But you can also use a toning mist at any stage of your routine… or any stage of the day!

Whether you’re after a subtle glow or a much needed shot of hydration, these multi-tasking spritzes have quickly become my favourite part of my skincare routine.

Here’s some on our radar at the moment.
