Maura Higgins has bid an emotional farewell to the UK as she prepares to make the move across the Atlantic for her latest career challenge.
The Longford native is set to take part in the US version of Dancing With The Stars, with the exciting opportunity marking another major milestone in her increasingly successful career Stateside.
Before making the move to Los Angeles, Maura spent some quality time with her friends, enjoying a day of karaoke and celebrating the next chapter with those closest to her.
Taking to Instagram, the former Love Island star shared a series of snaps from the day out with her pals, including Dazz Reece, Sophie Laura, photographer Liat, podcast host Luke Hamnett and cosmetic artist Krystal Dawn.

She also showed off some of the American-themed gifts she had been given by her friends, including a hilarious AI-generated image of herself holding the coveted Dancing With The Stars trophy.
Alongside the snaps, Maura wrote: “It’s my last day in the UK, love my girls and gays.”
She later shared a funny video of herself showing off her singing skills, with Luke joking that he “hoped her dancing was better than her singing.”
Maura was previously confirmed as one of the celebrity contestants taking part in the upcoming season of the hit US dancing show, and admitted she was thrilled to finally get the opportunity.
Speaking about her casting with Bustle, she revealed that she had wanted to take part in the show for a long time and described the moment she found out as surreal.

“I was actually going through New York airport, JFK. I got the call from my American agent and I froze in the middle of the airport while there were so many people going back, going past,” she recalled.
However, while Maura is excited to hit the ballroom floor, she has already made it clear that there is one professional dancer she hopes she won’t be paired with.
The Irish star previously revealed that she would be “happy with anyone” except Gleb Savchenko, explaining that her loyalty to her friend Brooks Nader played a major role in her decision.
“I don’t really like the way he speaks about women,” Maura said. “I don’t really want to spend all my time with someone like that. I’m like, no thank you.”
