So This Is What Your Vagina Is Supposed To Smell Like Apparently
Hint: not a bed of roses.
When it comes to vag odour, what’s normal and what’s not? That’s a question that Broadly set about answering and the results are, um, interesting. Perhaps the most unusual snippet of info we learned from this investigation is that you should be able to smell a healthy vagina from about a foot away.
Second? We also discovered that certain foods can affect on how we smell down there, with many women ‘fessing that foods like garlic and onions can throw their natural scent way off.
But just how is a healthy vagina supposed to smell? Well, since you ask it should have a slightly sour fragrance. Yep, that’s right, sour. It might also smell a bit musty thanks to the build up of sweat in the groin.
Bottom line though, neither of these smells should be overpowering and it’s important you look out for any changes in your natural scent. A strong fishy smell can be a sign of bacterial vaginosis, so if something’s smelling a little off be sure to hit up your doctor.
