Facebook Users Are Getting Freaked Out By This Bizarre (And NSFW) ASOS Ad
Have you seen it yet?
The Facebook algorithm that controls what posts you see on your feed is a mysterious beast, and it left a few Irish and UK users scratching their heads this week.
If you’re a regular visitor to shopping sites like ASOS, Facebook tends to push more ads from those sites onto your feed. And while sometimes the clothes you see will be linked to stuff you’ve been browsing or buying, other times you’ll get served an ad that’s totally out of left field.
Like this weird ASOS boob tube/unitard/WTF bodysuit that’s been doing the rounds on social media this week:
Seriously confused by the @ASOS ads I’m being served. pic.twitter.com/YgMXf110HL

In fact, even lads have been seeing it on their feeds:
Yeah sound asos.. Bit late though I’m just home from Ibiza pic.twitter.com/givW9lCUyz

The top, which is officially called the Bluebella Unwrap Me Body Bow, retails at €22.53, and can apparently be tied “a number of ways.”
What’s really worrying about the ad though, is the caption:
Some bits, indeed.
Thankfully, most of ASOS’s new stock is far more wearable than the Body Bow. In fact, here are a few all-white pieces that WON’T get you all tangled up.
Sheer Shift Dress, €35.21
Bardot Co-Ord Set, €42.25
Monki Sleeveless Shirt, €35.21
Premium Lace Top, €39.44
