Plot Twist! This Conspiracy Theory Says Disney’s Tarzan Is Ana And Elsa’s Long-Lost Brother
Frozen's director pretty much just confirmed it.
Given how many lazy weekends we’ve spent indulging a Disney-athon we thought our Disney knowledge was second to none, but we’ll be honest, this latest fan theory is totally news to us, and TBH we’re pretty p*ssed we didn’t notice it sooner.
Are you ready for this? Turns out two of our favourite ever Disney films, Frozen and Tarzan are actually connected in a fairly major way.
Cast your mind back to the opening of Frozen. If you recall, Ana and Elsa’s parents, the king and queen or Arendelle, are killed in a shipwreck. But here’s the thing, apparently they didn’t actually die but were instead shipwrecked, washing up on a jungle island far away where they had a baby boy, built a treehouse and got eaten by a leopard.
Sound familiar? Yes, dear friends, that’s the plot of Tarzan, meaning that Tarzan is actually the younger, long-lost brother of Ana and Elsa.
It’s not just some silly theory either.
Chris Buck, who directed both of the films, has more or less confirmed it.
“Of course Anna and Elsa’s parents didn’t die,” he revealed in an interview with MTV.
“There was a shipwreck, but they were at sea a little bit longer than we think they were because the mother was pregnant, and she gave birth on the boat to a little boy. They get shipwrecked, and somehow they really washed way far away from the Scandinavian waters, and they end up in the jungle. They end up building a tree house and a leopard kills them, so their baby boy is raised by gorillas. So in my little head, Anna and Elsa’s brother is Tarzan.”
So there you have it guys. Mind. Blown.
We don’t know about you but we’re calling for a sequel that reunites Ana and Elsa with their long lost brother.
