Have You Noticed? Here’s Why Prince William Is Never Seen Wearing His Wedding Ring
Even though Kate is never spotted without that gorgeous sapphire engagement bling.
Kate and Wills may be married five years now, have two kids together, and be the definition of #CoupleGoals to legions of people, but there’s something lacking about their relationship.
You won’t find it here:
Or here:
Yep, it’s Prince William’s decision to never wear a wedding ring, but, um why forgo this pretty major tradition, huh?
Since marrying in 2011, Kate regularly sports the sapphire engagement band handed down to her from Wills’ mother Diana, but William has never been photographed wearing his wedding bling, and apparently it’s simply because he chooses not to.
“It was something the couple discussed but Prince William isn’t one for jewellery,” a palace aide confirmed to Time ahead of the royal couples’ nuptials.
What’s more is, if you re-watch footage of Kate and Will’s wedding ceremony you’ll notice that the prince didn’t even put a wedding ring on during the ‘I dos’.
Prince William isn’t the only member of the royal family to opt out of the tradition. His grandfather Prince Philip doesn’t wear a wedding band either so perhaps that’s where he got the idea from.
Basically, it’s not because he’s a big playa. Glad that’s cleared up.
