This Song On Harry Styles’ New Album Sounds Like A Scathing Attack On An Ex Girlfriend

We wouldn't want to be her right now...

Harry Styles’ self-titled solo album dropped last night and one of the songs, Kiwi, has everybody talking.

The song is about an irresistible bad girl, and fans love its loud, raw, rock vibes. On Twitter, one person said, “Kiwi on repeat til I die” and we absolutely feel the same way.

But upon listening closely to the lyrics, it sounds as though the song tells the tale of one particular ex-lover, namely Georgia Fowler.

If you’re not quite picking up what we’re putting down, Kiwi is a term used to describe people from New Zealand, and Georgia is from New Zealand.

Harry and the 24-year-old model had a fling in 2015, and it’s widely believed the song is about their time together.

Some of the lyrics include, “She worked her way through a cheap pack of cigarettes, hard liquor mixed with a bit of intellect…” and Georgia is known for being intellectual. In an interview with Convicts, she said, “I want to be an engineer. I love math and science.”

However, Kiwi goes on to describe a girl who’s not so good for the One Direction singer. The lyrics continue:

“Driving me crazy, but I’m into it, but I’m into it
I’m kind of into it
It’s getting crazy, I think I’m losing it, I think I’m losing it
I think she said “I’m having your baby, it’s none of your business”

He even throws out the idea that the girl in the song is like a prostitute, saying:

“And now she’s all over me, it’s like I paid for it
It’s like I paid for it, I’m gonna pay for this…”

Whether the song is about Georgia or not, Harry paints a picture of a girl who’s a little bit wild and obsessive.

There’s two sides to every story though, right?
